"In an age of nothing, at a time when we stand at the brink of our destruction - strengthen your belief, in yourself, in the future of humanity, in the things of this world which cannot easily be perceived." - Disturbed, "Believe"
It is cold outside; the glass of the window is covered in florid designs of frostbitten water. I know the truth - the secret behind this molecular ballet. I know the secret of the empty black night sky.
Shivers are not pleasant, but neither is a day without the wind. They are meant to be in equilibrium; like sodium and chloride, or an explosion of neon and helium. To say the very least, they are completely inseparable from me. They numb me.
And so, they say after a heartbreak, get a haircut. A clean slate for every mistake. But, what if one has no hair left for cutting, and even less heart to break? What if the pain lays rock hard, hunk of flawless, onto your soul?
When twilight draws near, when you are pushed to the very limits of your soul, when it seems that all you have left are the dead remnants of the fabric of your life ... Believe.
Right. Belief. A framework of crystallised frost. It only sits, it only floats. Only waiting to bring resolution.
